ABOUT
Thaddeus Leong is a Singaporean lighting designer and programmer currently based in Cardiff, Wales. Thaddeus strongly believes in the potential of any light to elevate and enhance any performance or atmosphere to the highest levels and strives to always to create a better look. With a background in both theatre and concert lighting, he is a proficient lighting operator and programmer, as well as a rising lighting designer capable of working on any project you throw his way. Thaddeus was a NSF Lighting Technician at the Music and Drama Company of So Drama! Entertainment, and a freelance lighting technician for Concerts, Theatre and Corporate events. He is now pursuing his Masters in Lighting Design & Production at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

"As a technical crew within the Show Production Team, Thaddeus Leong has consistently exhibited positive work ethics, and strived to improve himself with each MINDEF/SAF event he is deployed for. His strong understanding on show lighting equipment and ability to understand complex problems allows him to resolve technical glitches when on the ground. His deployment as the lighting engineer for the MDC50 Concert in November 2023 is a testament to his in-depth knowledge of the technical intricacies within this field. He also puts in effort to keep abreast of the latest lighting technologies, ensuring his skillsets would remain relevant.
